Montessori Institute for Teacher Education

Learn to Become a Certified Montessori Educator

In addition to early childhood schooling we also certify teachers in the Montessori philosophy. Our classes are held throughout the year on various weekends. The Montessori Institute for Teacher Education (M.I.T.E.), founded in 1998, is a full affiliate member of The American Montessori Society (AMS) and fully accredited through The Montessori Accreditation Council on Teacher Education (MACTE) Commission and, therefore, is able to afford its graduates AMS Certification.

M.I.T.E. is proud of its expert and committed faculty, as well as the exceptional quality of our programs afford our participants. Our faculty is comprised of educators who certified through The American Montessori Society (AMS) and L’Association Montessori Internationale and have been actively involved both in and out of the classroom for over twenty years.

Programs include Infant/Toddler (birth to 3 years) and Early Childhood (2 1/2 – 6 years). Training is conducted in year-long format, with classes meeting one to two weekends per month over the course of one year, following a week-long seminar in the summer.
